What a website and SEO should cost
Quotes for the same job can differ a lot. Here is what moves the price, the questions that protect you, and exactly what we charge in Chatham-Kent.

The short answer
What to know first
The price of a small-business website depends on how much work it takes to say what you do clearly, how many pages and photos it needs, and how much it connects to booking, chat and reviews. Search work adds time for your profile, your page text and the technical basics.
Insist on a written quote that names what is included, who owns the site and what the monthly fee covers. If a provider promises a ranking, walk away.
What changes the price
Five things that move the number
- Scope: a few clear pages cost less than a site with booking, chat and several services.
- Writing and photos: clear copy and original photography take real time and make a real difference.
- Integrations: online booking, text-back, chat and review requests add setup and a small monthly cost.
- Search work: titles, page text, speed, your Google Business Profile and the technical basics.
- Ownership and support: whether you own everything and who fixes it when something breaks.
Our prices
What we charge, in Canadian dollars
Prices are starting points. You get a written quote before anything begins, and HST is added where it applies.
- Missed-call text-back + reviews: $500 + $100/month to keep it running. Every missed call gets a text back in seconds, and every customer gets asked for an honest review.
- Website and SEO tune-up: $900. Fix the site you already have so it loads fast, works on a phone and shows up for what your customers search.
- Lead system: $1,500 + $200/month to keep it running. The tune-up, plus online booking, AI chat on your site, and follow-up that happens without you.
- AI phone receptionist: $750 + $297/month to keep it running. Your line gets answered every time, by a person or by an AI that knows your services, hours and next opening, including when an AI assistant calls on a customer's behalf.
- New website: From $2,500. A site you own, built by Nick, that loads fast and is set up for search from day one.
- Growth Partner: From $7,500 + $1,250/month. Everything on this page, done for you: a new site, the lead system, the AI receptionist, and Nick working on it with you every month.

Questions
Quick answers
- How much does a small-business website cost?
- It depends on size, how much copy and photography you need, and whether it connects to booking, chat or reviews. Ours start at $500 for the missed-call text-back and reviews package and from $2,500 for a new website, always quoted in writing first.
- Is the monthly fee optional?
- Some packages have a monthly fee to keep services running, such as text messaging and software. Each package shows its monthly figure up front, so you can decide with the full cost in view.
- Do prices include HST?
- Our prices are in Canadian dollars and HST is added where it applies. You see the total in the written quote.
- Will SEO guarantee more customers?
- No honest provider can promise rankings or revenue. We set up what you control, show the numbers Google reports and let you judge by real enquiries.
- Should I just use a cheap template site?
- A template can be a fine start. The risk is a site that looks finished but is slow, vague about what you do or missing from Google. Check the page text, the phone number, the speed on a phone and your Google profile before you decide.
- Do I own the website?
- You should. Ask in writing who owns the domain, the content and the hosting account, and what happens if you stop working with the provider. Our new sites are yours.
