Your privacy at Launch League
We need some information to make your Launch League account work.
Your business numbers are private by default.
We don't sell your personal information.
We don't need your bank password, SIN or credit card number to use your Business Dashboard.
If you're under 18, your parent or guardian will be connected to your account, and they need to say yes before your Business Dashboard opens.
What
What we know about you
- Your name, your email, and the month and year you were born.
- Where you live (just the country, and your town if you tell us).
- Your school and grade, if you add them.
- The business information you type in: sales, expenses, customers' names or nicknames, goals and prices.
- Your Business 101 answers and when you used the site.
- If you're under 18: your parent or guardian's name and email.
Why
Why we need it
- To make your account work and keep it safe.
- To show you your own business numbers.
- To ask your parent or guardian if it's OK for you to use the Business Dashboard.
- If you're doing Career Discovery with a Launch League coach: so your coach understands what you're into and what you'd like to try, before you meet.
- To count things like "how many young people started a business" without saying who.
Who
Who can see it
- You.
- Your parent or guardian, if you're under 18 and they've said yes.
- A few Launch League staff, only when they need to (for example, to help with a request).
- Your business numbers are private. Teachers, judges, mentors and sponsors can't see them.
- Career Discovery answers: your coach reads them and keeps what you write between you. Your parent sees how far along you are and any summary your coach shares with your family — not your exact words. The one exception: if your coach is worried about your safety or someone else's, they'll talk to your parent or guardian.
- We don't sell your personal information.

What we will not ask for
- Your bank password or bank account number.
- A credit card number.
- Your SIN or any government ID.
- Health information.
- Your exact location.
- Your customers' phone numbers, emails or addresses.

How to download your information
- Go to Reports in your Business Dashboard to download your sales, expenses and customers as spreadsheets, or print a report.
- Want a copy of everything else? Go to Account & Privacy and send an access request.
How to ask us to delete it
- Go to Account & Privacy and choose "Delete the account".
- Download anything you want to keep first.
- A person at Launch League will do the deletion. You'll see the status change from Requested to Processing to Completed.
Staying safe
If something worries you
- If something on Launch League makes you uncomfortable, or someone asks you for private information, tell a parent, guardian, teacher or another adult you trust.
- You or that adult can email us at admin@launchleague.ca.
