Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026.

We've written this in plain language so it's actually readable — no dense legal jargon. If anything here is unclear, just ask at admin@launchleague.ca.

What We Collect

  • Contact info you give us directly — name, email, phone, and organization — when you fill out a form (contact, newsletter, sponsor inquiry, get-involved, competition sign-up, or the Leadership Circle waitlist).
  • Account info if you create a Launch League account — email address and an encrypted password, handled by our authentication provider (Supabase).
  • Competition entry content — your business/idea name, pitch summary, your three pitch video links (the links, not the video files), and any notes you submit.
  • Business plan content — if you use our free or paid business plan tools, the answers you provide and the resulting plan text are stored in our database.
  • Payment info — if you purchase the Elite Business Plan Maker, your payment is handled entirely by Stripe. Launch League never sees or stores your card number.

Who We Share It With

  • Supabase — hosts our database and account/login system.
  • Anthropic (Claude) — if you use the Elite Business Plan Maker, the answers you provide for a section are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate that section's written text.
  • Stripe — processes payment for the Elite Business Plan Maker. We never see your full card details.
  • Resend — sends transactional emails (confirmations, admin notifications) on our behalf.
  • Vercel — hosts the website itself, and may log standard server request data (like IP address and request timing) for security and reliability, the same way most websites do.
  • Internal lead tracking — if you fill out a form (contact, sponsor inquiry, newsletter, etc.), your name and contact info is also logged in our internal system for following up with you, alongside our other community initiatives.
  • We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever.

Why We Collect It

  • To run pitch competitions — reviewing entries, contacting entrants, and awarding prizes.
  • To respond to inquiries you send us (sponsorship, judging, general contact).
  • To deliver the business plan tools you choose to use.
  • To process payment for paid products.
  • To send you updates you've asked for (like newsletter signups or waitlist notifications) — we don't email you things you didn't sign up for.

How Long We Keep It

  • We keep your information for as long as it's useful to provide the service you signed up for, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first.
  • You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information at any time by emailing admin@launchleague.ca.

If You're Under 18

  • Our pitch competitions are open to entrants ages 13 and up. Entrants under 18 must have a parent or guardian consent to the entry before we accept it — we collect the parent or guardian's name and email at submission, use them only to confirm consent and to contact them about the entry, and never for marketing.
  • Your written pitch is stored in our database and is seen only by the assigned judges and Launch League staff by default. Showing an entry publicly requires separate, optional, opt-in permission given at submission (from the parent or guardian if the entrant is under 18). Declining has no effect on judging.
  • Your videos work differently, and we want to be straight about it. Launch League stores the link, not the video. The video itself stays on whatever service you chose — YouTube, Loom, Vimeo or Google Drive — inside your own account, under that company's privacy policy. We require each link to be unlisted or link-only so it doesn't appear in search or on a public channel, and we only give the link to your assigned judges and our staff. But an unlisted link works for anyone who has it, so we cannot revoke it, and we cannot stop a link from being forwarded. If you want a video taken down, you delete it in your own account — tell us and we'll remove the link from your entry, but only you can remove the video itself.
  • If you're a parent or guardian and want to review, correct, withdraw consent for, or request deletion of your child's information, contact us at admin@launchleague.ca — we'll take care of it.

Cookies & Tracking

  • We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to understand which pages get used and how fast the site loads. Both are cookie-free — they don't use tracking cookies or follow you across other websites, and they collect aggregated data (page views, referrers, load times) rather than anything tied to your personal identity.
  • We don't run advertising trackers, and we don't sell or share this data with anyone.

Changes to This Policy

  • If we make meaningful changes to how we handle your information, we'll update this page and revise the date below.
