Marketplace rules
The Founder Marketplace is a free directory that sends customers to businesses started by Launch League participants. It's not a store: Launch League never takes payment or sells anything here. These rules keep it safe for founders, many of whom are young people, and useful for buyers.

Who can list
- Launch League participants with a learner profile: Business 101 learners, competition entrants and Launch Sprint founders.
- Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian's consent on their account before a listing can be submitted.
- One listing per founder, for a real business the founder runs (alone or with teammates who agree to it).
What can't be listed
- Anything illegal, or anything that needs a licence, permit or inspection the founder doesn't have.
- Age-restricted products: alcohol, cannabis, tobacco and vaping products, weapons, fireworks, lottery or gambling.
- Prescription drugs, supplements or anything making health or medical claims.
- Home-prepared food that doesn't follow local public health rules for selling food.
- Counterfeit, copied or resold branded goods presented as the founder's own.
- Get-rich-quick, multi-level marketing, crypto or investment offers, and anything that asks customers for money before explaining what they get.
What a listing shows, and what it never shows
- Shown: business name, description, category, what you offer, town or region, your Launch League year, and the links you add.
- Optional: a founder name. First name only is recommended for anyone under 18.
- Never shown: email address, phone number, home address, school, age, or any sales figures.
- If you're under 18, in-home services (like babysitting, pet sitting, yard work or tutoring at a customer's home) can be listed only when a parent or guardian agrees to handle bookings with new customers.
- Social links must point to a business account, not a personal one. If you're under 18, use a business page your parent or guardian can see, and turn off direct messages from strangers where you can.
For buyers
- Every purchase happens directly with the founder, on their own shop, website or social page. Launch League doesn't take payments, deliver anything, or guarantee products or services.
- Many founders are young people. Arrange pickups and services with a parent or guardian involved, in public places or at an agreed business location.
- Never ask a founder for personal contact details, photos or to meet somewhere private.
- Problems with an order go to the founder first. If something is unsafe or not as described, report it to Launch League.
Review, hiding and removal
- Launch League reviews every listing before it goes live, and again whenever it's edited.
- Founders can hide their listing at any time from the listing page.
- We can decline, hide or remove a listing that breaks these rules, goes stale, links somewhere unsafe, or receives a credible complaint. Where it's safe, we'll tell the founder why.
- Report a listing by emailing admin@launchleague.ca with the business name and what's wrong. We aim to look at safety reports within two business days.
