Everything published here is written and reviewed by Launch League as an organization. We do not run guest posts, sponsored articles, or syndicated content, and nothing on this site is placed here by an advertiser.

Where a guide covers something we do not do ourselves — tax treatment, incorporation decisions, licensing for a regulated trade — we say so on the page and point to the body that does govern it, rather than restating it as our own expertise.

Funding programs, eligibility rules, dollar figures and deadlines come from the administering body's own page — a government, agency, or program site — and every program we list links directly to that source so you can check it yourself.

We do not source program details from other blogs, aggregator lists, or AI-generated summaries. That is deliberate: the most common error we find in Ontario funding content is a program that closed years ago being copied forward between articles until it looks current.

Where a figure comes from published research rather than a program page, we name the organization and the year in the sentence that uses it.

Research-backed pages show two dates: when the page was first published, and when its facts were last checked against their sources.

The review date moves only when the substance changed or we re-verified it. It does not move for a design change, a new internal link, a typo fix, or a redeploy. A page that says it was reviewed in July was genuinely last checked in July, even if the site shipped changes since — we would rather show an older date that is true than a fresh one that is not.

The same date drives the page, our sitemap, and the structured data search engines read, so the three cannot disagree with each other.

If something here is wrong, we want to fix it, and a program that has quietly closed is the single most likely thing to be wrong.

Email us and tell us which page and what is inaccurate. We check the claim against the administering body's own page. If it is wrong we correct it and move the review date; if a program has closed we move it to the discontinued section on that page rather than deleting it silently, because people arrive still looking for it.

Our guides link to it, and we think it earns its price, but no guide's recommendation changes because of it — the free one-page plan builder is linked just as prominently, and nothing in the competition depends on buying anything.

Sponsorships fund the prize pool. A sponsor may have their name attached to an award, but sponsors do not select winners and have no influence over judging, entries are not shared with them, and a sponsor with a personal or business relationship to an entrant is excluded from any input on that entrant's category. Those are published rules, not just intentions — they are section 8 of the official competition rules.

We use AI as a drafting and research assistant — outlining, structuring, and finding things to check. We do not publish AI output as fact.

Every program detail, dollar figure, eligibility rule and date on this site was confirmed against the administering body's own page by a person before it was published. If we could not verify a claim, it is not here.
