Families: sign up below and you'll hear first. Organizations: post the first one, it's free.
Community-hour eligibility: students are responsible for confirming that an opportunity meets their school board's community involvement requirements before taking part. Launch League and participating organizations can help provide the information needed for approval and verification.
Ontario's new recognition
Don't just finish your 40. Make them count.
Ontario students need 40 hours of community involvement to graduate. Students who do more may also qualify for the Minister's Certificate of Recognition for Community Involvement, which the principal awards at graduation.

Questions
Straight answers
- Will this count toward my 40 hours?
- Your school decides, not us. In Ontario the principal confirms which activities count, and Lambton Kent asks students to check with guidance before they start. Check first, use your school's tracking form, and ask the organization to sign it. We'll help with any information your school needs.
- Who can sign up?
- A parent or guardian, or a student who is 18 or older. We only ask for the adult's name and email, and the student's grade, school board and area. We don't collect a student's name, school or email on this page.
- Does it cost anything?
- No. It's free for families and free for organizations.
- What happens when I say I'm interested?
- We introduce you to the organization by email. Your details go to that organization and nowhere else, and only because you asked.
- We're a nonprofit. What do we get?
- Young volunteers who chose your opportunity, and a person at Launch League who makes the introduction. Your opportunity is read before it goes up, and your contact details are never published.
- What usually doesn't count?
- It varies by board, but paid work and anything that's already part of a class or co-op generally don't count, and some activities are ruled out for safety. The full guide explains it.
