Launch League Co-op OS · Free for schools and employers

Co-op placements that teach, not just supervise.

One place to plan the week, assign real work, keep students busy with useful learning while they wait, sign off skills and finish with evidence of exactly what a student did and became capable of. Built for employers, co-op teachers and students. Free.

The problem

Most co-ops run on good intentions.

Employers are busy, co-op teachers are stretched across dozens of placements, and students don't always know what to do next. The result is predictable.

  • Texts, spreadsheets and memory

Who's doing what this week, whether hours were approved, what feedback was given: it usually lives in someone's head or phone.
  • Students waiting around

The supervisor gets pulled onto a job and the student has nothing to do. An afternoon of scrolling teaches nothing.
  • Evidence at the end

The final evaluation arrives and nobody can remember exactly what the student did in week three, or what they learned.

Four steps

How it works

About ten minutes to set up

  1. Set up the placement

A 10-step builder: employer, student, dates, weekly schedule, supervisors, pathway, learning, guidelines and projects. About ten minutes, and everything can change later.
  2. The student logs in on their phone

They sign in to a free Launch League account with the email you entered. Their first screen shows today, what to focus on, and useful work for when they're waiting.
  3. Plan, assign and review

Plan the week across every co-op, assign tasks to one student or several, review submissions, sign off skills and approve hours from one queue.
  4. Finish with evidence

Weekly, monthly, midterm, final and accomplishment reports, a skills map signed off by supervisors, badges for real milestones and a portfolio the student keeps.

What's inside

Everything a placement needs, and nothing it doesn't

No hundred settings before you start. Sensible defaults, and depth when you want it.

  • Plan the week

Each day shows planned work against scheduled hours, plus unscheduled work to drop in and a four-week look-ahead so you can plan before anyone runs dry.

  • “When you're waiting” work

18 ready independent tasks, like Business 101, trend research, caption banks and website audits, so waiting time turns into learning time.

  • Sign-offs that mean something

A skills map of 23 competencies across four levels. Students can ask for a sign-off, but only a supervisor can give one.

  • Hours, attendance and time off

Check in and out, hours logged and approved, school days, PD days and holidays that adjust expected hours automatically, and time-off requests.

  • A learning library built for work

25 tracks, from sales and business email to Canva, AI, finance, networking and leadership, connected to Launch League's free Business 101.

  • Reflections with two points of view

Daily two-minute reflections and a weekly one where the student and supervisor rate the same areas, so gaps become conversations.

  • Projects across co-ops

Group tasks into campaigns and events under any of your businesses, share work across several students and watch progress fill in.

  • Feedback and weekly 1:1s

Questions, praise and coaching in one place, a guided weekly 1:1, and private supervisor notes the student never sees.

  • Reports you can print

Daily, weekly, monthly, midterm, final and accomplishment reports, with a school version that only includes what's meant for the school.

Four stages

Responsibility that grows week by week

Every placement moves through four stages at a pace the employer sets, so students go from following instructions to proposing the plan.

  1. Stage 1

    Learn

Your supervisor gives clear instructions while you learn how the work is done.

  2. Stage 2

    Execute

You complete real work, and your supervisor reviews it.

  3. Stage 3

    Own

You own small projects from start to finish.

  4. Stage 4

    Lead

You're given an objective and propose the plan.

Pathways

Start from a pathway, make it yours

Every task comes with the why, the steps, the lesson and the skills it builds. Use a whole pathway, borrow one week, or write your own.

  • Marketing + Business Co-op (12 weeks)

A full 12-week pathway: orientation, customers and marketing, content, sales, websites, operations, finance, leadership, networking, AI, entrepreneurship and a capstone.

  • Business Co-op (12 weeks)

Business fundamentals, customer experience, sales, operations, finance, leadership and networking, ending in a capstone.

  • Social Media Co-op (8 weeks)

Short-form video, design, analytics and collaborations, with a capstone portfolio.

  • Sales Co-op (8 weeks)

Learn the offer, research, scripts, role-play, supervised calls, email and networking.

  • Entrepreneurship Co-op (8 weeks)

Business 101 applied to a real idea alongside real placement work, ending in a pitch.

  • Office Administration Co-op (8 weeks)

Etiquette, email, customer experience, systems, accounting basics and project management.

  • Skilled Trades Co-op (8 weeks)

Safety first, then tools, customer experience, the business side of a trade, and a capstone.

  • Construction Co-op (8 weeks)

Site safety, tools, how jobs are estimated and run, customer experience and a capstone.

Privacy

Student privacy, built in

The questions a principal or HR lead asks first.

Read the co-op section of the Privacy Policy
  • Enforced by the database. Each person sees only the placements they belong to, and only what their role allows. One employer or school can never see another's students.
  • Schools see what employers share. Attendance, hours, learning, skills, evaluations: each is a separate permission for each placement.
  • Private notes stay private. Supervisor notes and private feedback are never shown to the student, mentors or the school, and never appear in reports.
  • Safeguards on field work. Filming and site tasks remind students to get approval and consent and never to show addresses, licence plates or customer information.
  • No tracking in the co-op area. No ads, no data sales, no analytics and no search indexing on co-op pages.

Questions

Is it really free?
Yes. The Launch League Co-op OS is free for schools, employers and students. Launch League is funded by organizations and sponsors, not by charging the people it serves. There are no ads and no data sales.
Who can use it?
Employers hosting co-op, work-experience or internship students, and the schools that place them. It works for one student or many, across several businesses and managers. It's built for Ontario placements but nothing in it is Ontario-only.
Does it replace our board's co-op paperwork?
No. Placement agreements, insurance and WSIB forms, safety training records and anything else your board or employer requires still go through their usual process. The Co-op OS handles the day-to-day: planning, learning, hours, feedback, sign-offs and evidence.
Do we have to use your curriculum?
No. Pick one of the 8 built-in pathways, add a single week from one, start blank, or save a placement that worked as your own template. Every task can be edited, moved or removed.
What does the school see?
Only what the employer grants for that placement: for example attendance, hours, learning progress, evaluations or school-reportable feedback. Private supervisor notes and private feedback are never visible to the school, to mentors or to the student.
What does the student need?
A phone or computer and a free Launch League account using the email address the employer entered. Nothing to install.
How is student information protected?
Access is enforced by the database, not just the app, so one placement can never see another's records. Evidence files are stored privately. Co-op pages aren't tracked by analytics or indexed by search engines. See the Privacy Policy for details.
