BAF3M — Financial Accounting Fundamentals

Students learn the fundamental principles and procedures of accounting for service and merchandising businesses, computerized accounting, financial analysis and ethics.Taking this course? Business 101 is free and self-paced and covers a lot of the same ground — you don't need your teacher to sign up first. Teaching it? Suggested starting point: use with my course. You can use it any way that works for your class.

  1. Create a class

    Request teacher access and create a class at Your classes. Students join with a six-letter code.

  2. Pick only what fits your unit

    Use the Launch League work listed below that connects to what you're teaching. Skip the rest.

  3. Let students bring what they have

    A plan, a deck or a business from your class is where they start: students link it and tick what it covers. Nobody redoes work to match our format.

  4. Ask for real-world support

    Mentors, judges, a pitch workshop or a local entrepreneur — send a request.

  5. Enter, if students want to

    The provincial competition is optional and free, and every complete entry gets written feedback.

After the unit

Students can keep going

The assignment can end without the business ending. Students can validate it, sell it, launch it and compete on their own, without a teacher managing any of it.
