Business 101 is free and self-paced and covers a lot of the same ground — you don't need your teacher to sign up first. Teaching it? What Launch League can support, and what it cannot, is set out below.

Optional connection

International business isn't part of the core Launch League path. The optional "could this business expand beyond Ontario?" extension lets a student test their own venture against the course's questions.

Relevant Launch League work

  • International customers
  • Choosing a market
  • Trade, tariffs and currency
  • Distribution
  • Cultural considerations
  • Adapting marketing

Already teaching it your way? Nothing changes. The extension is a single optional worksheet for students who already have a venture.

What Launch League doesn't do: Launch League doesn't teach international business.

Course title and description from the Ontario curriculum (Grades 11 and 12 Business Studies, 2006). Launch League can support learning in this course; it doesn't deliver course expectations or grant credit, and the teacher decides what counts and how it's assessed.

Suggested approach

How to use it with BBB4M

Suggested starting point: use with my course. You can use it any way that works for your class.

  1. Create a class

Request teacher access and create a class at Your classes. Students join with a six-letter code.
  2. Pick only what fits your unit

Use the Launch League work listed below that connects to what you're teaching. Skip the rest.
  3. Let students bring what they have

A plan, a deck or a business from your class is where they start: students link it and tick what it covers. Nobody redoes work to match our format.
  4. Ask for real-world support

Mentors, judges, a pitch workshop or a local entrepreneur — send a request.
  5. Enter, if students want to

The provincial competition is optional and free, and every complete entry gets written feedback.

After the unit

Students can keep going

The assignment can end without the business ending. Students can validate it, sell it, launch it and compete on their own, without a teacher managing any of it.
